Technical SEO: Strengthening the Foundation of Search Visibility

Diane Askin is a highly experienced web design and development consultant with a professional career spanning over four decades, beginning in March 1982. She is the Owner, Designer, Developer, and Consultant at 0832686 B.C. LTD., and the former Owner and President of NetClimber Web Design Inc., where she established a reputation for reliability, strategic thinking, and deeply personalized client service.

Diane’s early career (1982–2004) was rooted in business administration, computer operations, accounting, human resources, and systems management, where she managed computer networks, software implementations, and operational processes for complex organizations. This strong foundation in business operations continues to inform her practical, results-driven approach to digital consulting today.

Transitioning into web design and development in the mid-1990s, Diane became an early specialist in search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, long before SEO was widely adopted. She went on to lead and manage web projects for more than 24 years, overseeing everything from strategy and design to development, hosting, and long-term maintenance.

Over time, Diane expanded her capabilities by building and managing trusted teams of skilled designers and developers—both local and overseas—allowing her to focus on client relationships, project management, and strategic oversight. Her technical experience includes static and dynamic websites, content management systems, e-commerce platforms, and development using PHP and ASP.NET technologies.

In addition to her technical and consulting work, Diane has been actively involved in community leadership, serving as an Executive Board Member and Past President of the Ladner Business Association, as well as holding marketing and board roles with nonprofit and community organizations.
