Delta Community Living Society Delta Community Living Society was ready for a total re-design of their existing custom Content Management System (CMS). 0832686 B.C. LTD. first began working with DCLS several years ago, when they needed their website. 0832686 B.C. LTD. built the original CMS in PHP which served a great purpose for many years. In 2015 DCLS came to 0832686 B.C. LTD. to begin the process of building a new website. Once again, they had a number of features that involved very unique functionality, and 0832686 B.C. LTD. recommended updating the existing PHP code rather than converting to WordPress. DCLS had a new logo, along with a new color palette and branding. In addition, it was important to meet the requirements of ensuring the website was responsive, a feature that was not included in the original site built so many years earlier. Working with the new DCLS branding developed by Indalma Creative and the current site functionality, 0832686 B.C. LTD. created a new site that incorporated these elements and expanded upon them. The new site is colourful and features strong typography, custom color-coded iconography, a unique blockquote design and twitter feed. Several new templates were designed to include more photography and content areas. The new site uses a lot of large photos, displaying the value DCLS places on the people they serve. Transparency and accessibility is key to the organization. 0832686 B.C. LTD. included font resizing functionality and navigation that is accessed on several levels. Due to the extended development period, the design evolved and the functionality expanded to include new items that were not found on the former site. However, the site’e purpose to serve all users with their unique roles and needs remained priority. DCLS staff was very hands-on with the content entry and became well-versed in managing the content.
